Our son Lewis spent 2 very happy years with Jane and Tim after they were recommended to us by a friend. Lewis was only 8 weeks old when he first started spending occasional days with them until I returned to work when he was 11 months old.

Jane and Tim both became much more to Lewis than childminders and he still talks about his adventures with them a year on. Days were always filled with fun and activities including walks to park, cooking and many arts and crafts. They were also a great help to me with the early milestones, weaning, walking and potty training.

Lewis only left when I finished work to have another baby – and when I return to work Evan will definately be knocking on their door for a place!

Jane and Tim were my childminders for 9 years and since leaving them I have never met people so kind and caring. As well as making sure we were all safe, they made sure we had fun in everything that we did.

Although I no longer go to “Jane’s house” we are still friends and I feel like they are part of the family. If you want guaranteed fun and safety for your child or children, then Jane and Tim are the people for you.

I have 3 children, all of whom have been cared for by Jane & Tim.

Amy, now 16, went to Janes from the age of 2 and a half, Courtney from 6 months and Liam from 1.

In total we were making our way to Jane and Tims home for 12 years, and when you meet them both you will understand why. When you return to work and have to leave your child with someone else to care for them it is one fo the hardest and biggest things you will ever do as a parent.

When we found Jane she was all we could have ever hoped for, caring, trustworthy, honest and above all loving. She has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know, nothing was ever too much trouble for her. On the very occasional days when Liam wouldn’t let go of my legs , Jane or Tim would take him from me, and although I also had tears in my eyes as I left, I knew he would be absolutely fine with them, and low and behold, as soon as I was out of sight he was playing happily.

My girls consider Jane to be their second mother and this makes me very proud as I now consider Jane to be a very close friend, who I would recommend 150%. They have turned out to be polite, loving, caring children and I have to give some, ok a lot, of the credit to Jane.

Thornton Childcare is definitely the 5 star of childcare, and all that is left to say is Thank You Jane and Tim, from the bottom of my heart.
